Native speaker of US English with Ph.D. in German Literature from the University of CA-Berkeley. I started my literary translating career while still in graduate school, translating Early Modern German texts associated with my dissertation, and have continued on from there. Most recently, I have translated some of Rainer Maria Rilke's short stories and an "indie" young adult novel by an up-and-coming author. My aim is always to make the English text sound perfectly fluid and native.
