No surprises expected from Erdogan Explanation: A lot depends on how literal you are trying to be. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2007-04-12 14:04:52 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Well, the idea behind "expect" is intended to correspond to the idea of "anlaşıldı", even if it is not an exact equivalent. The problem is the Turkish headline contains only four words and something brief is needed in English. Of course, my suggestion won't do if a literal translation is required. Maybe something beginning with "Clearly ..." or "Apparently, ..." would do. |
