My next door neighbor did his military service in a 'fjälljägarförband' training as a 'jägare.' While his stories provide an impressive enough idea of the advanced and tough training he underwent, this would match the basic training of the US Marines. They may be considered more 'elite' than regular Swedish troops, but the Swedish training certainly does not match that of 'Commandos' and is nothing compared to the Navy Seals who are equivalent to the SAS -- a highly elite training in all respect. The Navy seals, and SAS would be insulted for being confused with rangers.

commando

Explanation:
It might be a bit tricky. I assume that it is swedish jägare it concerns, but there are, and have been different kinds of jägare in sweden, so it depends not only on what type of jägare you are talking about, but also on what time period and some other kinds. One type of jägare are paratroopers, another is coastal commanders. Without knowing anything further, as a generic term covering all bases, I would suggest commando or commando soldier.
