Law/Patents - Law: Patents, Trademarks, Copyright
Swedish term or phrase: tillgängliggörande
As in "otillåtet tillgängliggörande," in the context of unauthorized reproduction or duplication (exemplarframställning).

Of course tillgängliggörande means "making available to the public" - but I am looking for a more elegant way of saying it. Any suggestions? "Publishing" is too specific, I would think.

"Making available" seems to be the least problematic, while "passive dissemination" could also be an option.

Thanks everyone for your effort and contributions here - much appreciated.

disagree  Sven Petersson: "Dissemination" infers actively spreading, "tillgängliggörande" does not. The difference is critical, please see my references.

Explanation:
given the context, sth like this (any combination depending on product)

I'm a little bit shocked by some of the other suggestions and a high score a person has themselves. It is not only a question of translating like in a dictionary but of knowing what an English speaker might say in this or that context

It's very rare that I even make an attempt out of my language into French or Swedish except when really certain

This is not to offend anyone so have a nice weekend EVERYONE

disagree  Sven Petersson: "Copying" is active, and so is "publication of", "tillgängliggörande" is not. The difference is of legal significans; please do read my references!

-> hello Sven. I do agree with you and added in notes the possibility 'unauthorized distribution of' . 'Publication' can be pretty inactive today as it can just mean copying a document onto a site and not actually printing and binding it.

disagree  Charles Ek: See the references cited in my note on Sven's answer.
