External damage only Explanation: A definition of vagnförsäkring is given below: Ersätter skador på ditt eget fordon vid kollision, vältning, dikeskörning eller skador genom annan yttre olyckshändelse. Även skador vid transport med till exempel båt eller tåg ersätts. Kaskoförsäkring is more extensive and covers fires, theft, engine damage etc. This insurance only covers what could basically be termed as damage to the car's bodywork (I think the reference you gave in your last question quite specificallystated that engine damage wasn't included in vagnförsäkring). Comprehensive insurance Explanation: Kaskoförsäkringar är vagnskade-, brand-, glasrute-, stöld- och maskinskadeförsäkring. Look this sentence up on the web. Whether it is a universal definition Iäm not sure. For kasko I suggest fully comprehensive insurance. "Comprehensive insurance" in the UK includes personal injury, unlike the Swedish term vagnsskadeförsäkring so it's not the same combination of cover. |
