garlic scented wine and and tomato base (sauce) Explanation: I have a few recipes for tomato base. Not sure whether this term does your dish justice. My understanding it that a 'fond' is like liquid stock, i.e the 'base' of the sauce. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 37 mins (2011-05-09 02:19:21 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- 'garlic scented' was perhaps not the best of ideas. Garlic flavoured might be better. |
