Trampantojo: Técnica artística utilizada especialmente en los jardines de época romana, consistente en realizar pinturas o frescos en los muros perimetrales del jardín. Con el fin de crear al ojo la ilusión de que el espacio del patio abarca más allá de sus propios limites físicos, agrandando el jardín. Solían representar con perspectiva y de forma muy naturalista zonas de césped, pequeños árboles, flores, arbustos, fuentes, animales y elementos decorativos como fuentes, escalinatas o pérgolas.
