bacterial entrainment

Explanation:
"arrastre" has numerous meanings. In this case, it might mean the bacteria were picked up and reached the drinking water supply.

Or without the hyphen, i.e., runoff, as seen below:

Also, instead of "-laden" --- "-filled" may be more common, i.e., "bacteria-filled runoff" (as seen below in a relevant site from Australia):

As for the meaning of 'arrastre,' the word 'drag' comes to mind, but this is not one of my areas of expertise, hence the low level of confidence. More context would be helpful.

Depending on the broader context, other options may include:

bacterial residue

or

residual concentrations of bacteria

One of these may be fine, but with so little context, it's impossible to say with any degree of certainty.

I hope this helps.

Hi jemad: Thanks for the reply in the Discussion area. Knowing it involves a pool may, indeed, be helpful, as it might not be so hard to imagine a scenario in which runoff, flowing down a nearby hill, for example, could carry bacteria into a pool. Also, 'residual concentrations of bacteria' (in the nearby soil) may also be a possible scenario.

It would be more helpful, however, to see all of the original words in Spanish. If you could post these (instead of what may be a translation), that would be great.

Following my comment in Discussion, I wonder if the 'arrastre de bacterias' might not refer to 'bacterial leakage' or 'bacterial seepage' (as referenced in the sites below).

bacterial carryover

Explanation:
Arrastre means that the bacterias that were initially somewhere else spread to the pool, in this case, therefore the pool was shut down due to high toxicity levels.

I'm leaving you a paper on bacterial carryover for milk for you to check the rest of your text.
You can also say "Spreading" or "spread".
