Spanish term or phrase: entrevista psicológica
The text is below. Am I right in assuming that the entrevista is the first time the person meets with the psychologist? If so, how would we say this in English? If you Google "psychology interview", you get hits for JOB interviews with a psychologist, not an individual meeting with a psychologist to discuss their personal issues. THANKS!

In mental health, family, and community counseling settings, master's-level counselors engage in unstructured ***clinical interviewing*** to develop diagnoses based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (4th ed., text rev.; DSM-IV-TR. American Psychiatric Association, 2000). Although counselors receive education about diagnosis and the DSM classification system, the majority of them are not specifically trained in clinical interviewing. This article provides information about using the unstructured clinical interview to make a DSM-IV-TR diagnosis for adult clients with Axis I and Axis 11 disorders.

Clinical psychologists perform a wide range of functions to help people suffering from different kinds of problems. A psychologist will conduct an initial meeting, known as the ***clinical interview***, with a client to assess what types of problems the client is dealing with. They also use this interview as a way to gather information to help determine the appropriate course of treatment.

agree  Chema Nieto Castañón: Psychological clinical interview. A clinical interview is not necessarily a psychological clinical interview. In the original phrasing "psychological" is not implied -as it is in your links. Saludos ;) // Lo que sigue aplica pej a consulta médica
