"alto y fornido" > tall and strapping You can leave it in Spanish ("El negro Juan Miguel was tall and strapping") if you think the reader would be puzzled as you. In fact, in Spanish "el negro" is very often used in an affective way (I suppose this is the case here), but this is very different in English. Anyway, check the discussion above, it may help you. |
