Sao gramos

I'm pretty certain now that SAO = ODS (Ozone/oxygen Depleting Substances), so Charles was on the right track. Many thanks to all of you for helping out again :-)

I just found this:"Las sustancias que agotan la capa de ozono (SAO) son sustancias químicas de origen industrial..."; So, this may be what it refers to (of course, it would have helped if they had written the abbreviation in uppercase, like normal earthlings)... But I haven't quite reached the "eureka!" moment yet.

Another "sao" has turned up in what I hope will be the last of these:
Kilogramo, peso seco - MND
Kilogramos de sao - ODK
...

I've a feeling you may be right, but I can't really see any way to verify it. I'll wait and see what the client says.

It could be. Systematically, whoever drafted these terms in "Spanish" has all the acronyms/abbreviations in lower case, which doesn't help. I've been drawing up a list of false friends and mistranslations from this job and so far I have about thirty... One way or another, with help from you guys, I've managed to resolve almost all of them, but this one takes the cake. The letters at the end are a sort of key to the corresponding term (in a list I found through Github), for example WH is wheel... but neither ODG or ODM appear in the list I found.

I wonder whether Sao might be saturación de oxígeno, and OD oxígeno disuelto, which is really the same thing (oxygen saturation and dissolved oxygen). If so, gramos/G would mean per gram and miligramos/M2 would mean per milligram.

Of course, this could be way off...
