El señor YYYYY expresó que hasta que no haya la certificación médica está “cuare”. Si el empleado alega alguna condición médica el supervisor lo va a enviar al médico de la ZZZZZ.

Re-posted with a higher confidence level this time, as I stand by my original suggestion.
NB: "quarantine" need not necessarily refer to infectious diseases per se when used metaphorically, and in the context given, it most likely simply means "pending until a final decision/justification/certification is forthcoming ", or words to that effect.

In other words the slang term "cuare" doesn't actually mean quarantine in this particular case, although that is what it is the abbreviation of. I'll be interested to see if any better suggestions come in.

NB: It could also be an abbreviation for "cuaresma", described as "un tiempo de purificación e iluminación interna", so it could also conceivably be a somewhat idiosyncratic way of referring to the period when the person in question is waiting the final decision/justification/certification, etc. Cf. "purdah"...

Asker: Gracias por la sugerencia, pero me temo que eso es un poco buscar tres pies al gato. Habiendo pasado mucho tiempo en Borinquen y teniendo muchos amigos boricuas, me pregunto si detrás la palabra no anda algún anglicismo. Curioso que googleando la palabra no encontré nada.
