Doramas, se refugió durante la contienda con los invasores castellanos. Se ha especulado mucho en torno al lugar exacto de esta ubicación (hoy se conserva entre Moya y Firgas el topónimo “Montaña de Doramas”, en el marco del Parque Rural del mismo nombre). Pero lo cierto es que la tipología paisajística es la misma que encontramos en Barranco Hondo, límite de transición entre laurisilva y pinar de camino hacia los espacios cumbreros sagrados, últimos bastiones defensivos de los canarios.

I don't think you need to use edge, transition area covers it in my opinion.

You could say "the transition area where the laurel and pine forests meet/merge with..."
