Spanish term or phrase: Los procesos de consulta ciudadana e indígena
Hi all! I am having a little trouble deciding on a good translation for this sentence. Thoughts? Spanish to English. I have included the original Spanish for context and my attempt at a translation in English.

Our aim is to be a real contribution to the region, and we have worked on several initiatives that support our goal. These include:
• The construction of Campus XXX, which is designed to deliver new educational opportunities for the young people of the area.
• The Cultural Center for promoting cultural activities
• The Housing Program, which offers housing options for employees and communities
• Equipment and infrastructure programs associated with the indigenous and citizen advocacy/consultation/ process advising, among others.

English translation:Consultation processes for citizens and indigenous peoples
Explanation:
I was probably as puzzled as you when I first read “procesos de consulta ciudadana e indígena” because this expression inexorably reminds me of the susprising distinction between citizens and indigenous peoples, as if we were speaking of two different entities. However, as you can read in the first link below, the indigenous peoples themselves (Maya people in this case) have opted for this difference:

https://www.lajornadamaya.mx/2018-11-19/Hay-que-distinguir-e...

This is my translation suggestion:
Programas de equipamiento e infraestructura asociados a los procesos de Consulta ciudadana e Indígena, entre otros.
Equipment and infrastructure programs associated, among others, with consultation processes for citizens and indigenous peoples.

Final remark: When I use the expression “indigenous peoples” I am referring to the pre-Columbian peoples of North, Central and South America altogether (the whole continent!), and obviously their descendants.

agree  James A. Walsh: Good option. The only thing I might change is your placement of "among others". I'd move it to the end and add "things", as in: "associated with consultation processes for citizens and indigenous peoples, among other things."

-> Thank you for your input, James. Yes, I see what you mean. I put "among others" in the middle of the sentence to avoid a possible ambiguity since "entre otros" clearly refers to "procesos", not to citizens and indigenous peoples.
