Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs / programa de la carrera de medicina
Spanish term or phrase: regular
En el programa de materias de la carrera de medicina enumeran las correlatividades de las materias y, por ejemplo, enuncian qué materia es necesario tener como "regular" -esto es, haber cursado la materia, rendido los parciales y demás, pero sin haber dado el examen final-.
Quisiera saber si en inglés el término "regularity" tendría este significado o se utiliza otro. gracias!

good standing student

Explanation:
I had to translate a very long document from a university in Argentina and found many resources where this is the term used. A good standing student, or a student of good academic standing is that student who acheives the minimum requirements to stay in the course.

There are two types of good standings, per subject course and overall. You should clarify this in your translation.

core curriculum material

Explanation:
In English it could be 'core curriculum material' (whereby 'core' is at the centre of the curriculum of study).
Pienso que se trata de la material del centro del estudio que cada estudiante o universitario tiene que conocer para progresar en la carrera.

agree  Robert Carter: Yes, "regular" as opposed to "recursante". In Mexico, for example, "regularizar" can refer to giving a student extra classes to bring them up to the required level to pass a subject or grade.
