Spanish term or phrase: una vez la presente sentencia adquiera la....
This is the second note on the divorce certificate from DR

Una vez la presente sentencia adquiera la autoridad de la cosa irrevocablemente juzgada autoriza al mas diligente de los conyuges a porsentarse por ante la oficialia del estado civil, a fin de hacer pronuncial el divorcio y transcribir el dispositivo de la presente sentencia en el registro correspondiente previa intimacion a la otra parte por acto de alguacil a tales fines.

The whole paragraph just does not make sense. I got this done, but I am not satisfied with it.

Once the actual sentence gets the authority of the irrevocable judged deal, it will authorize the most diligent of the spouses to appear before the office of the first circumscription of San Pedro de Macoris to pronounce the divorce and transcribe the arrangement of this sentence in the corresponding record by previous bailiff intervention for these matters.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Muchas gracias a los dos. La verdad que este parrafo ha sido tan literal porque no entiendo el sentido legal de estas palabras. En ningun certificado antes lo he encontrado tan complicado.

Asker: Thanks.Mr. Carter. Es usted un caballero. Gracias por la sugerencia.

agree  philgoddard: I don't think the Latin adds anything - just "becomes irrevocable" would do. And it's usually referred to as a decree in divorce cases.

-> Thanks, Phil. Actually, I believe the decree usually contains the judgment. I think we could also say "once the judgment becomes final and unappealable".
