Spanish term or phrase: Piezas cautivas
Hi,

I'd appreciate your help with this term. It is a type of spare part.

Context is:
"XXX al terminar el período de garantía, se mantiene como asegurador en reparaciones complicadas o que requieran piezas cautivas (específicas de cada modelo concreto y de difícil acceso)"

Thanks,

Robert

OEM parts

Explanation:
For the automotive, and other fields in the USA, this is the term that is overwhelmingly used.
OEM meaning Original Equipment Manufacturer.

OEM parts are the same parts used in the assembly of new vehicles. When these parts are kept as spares, they are called OEM replacement parts.

Buy Auto Parts provides OEM auto part replacements and aftermarket automotive parts all at discount prices. We get the parts directly from the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), which is the same company who makes the parts that are sold to the car makers to be installed into your car at the factory. We also make our own aftermarket versions of these parts.
