Does anyone have a suggestion for vainas? I only understand that term at it's lowest register as "thing" or "crap".

Notes to answerer
Asker: wow! This was my first PROZ post ever and I really appreciate your answer. I saw the word for pod on wordreference but it was directed towards a plant pod. Vaina is a silly word to me. Anyways thank you!

agree  philgoddard: I think cápsula and vaina must be synonyms, so you need only one English word for two Spanish ones. http://dictionary.reverso.net/spanish-english/vaina
