I kal (blato) u rukama Hristovim postaje lek, lek koji leči od slepila. Zaista Hristos svetli i kroz ono što obično uvećava mrak: zaista je svetlost sveta, i kroz kal - svetlost! Kal - prenositelj božankže svetlosti! Ne potseća li to na čovekovo stvaranje: u kal tela ljudskog Gospod je uneo sunčani i svetli lik Svoj. "I svetlost se svetli u tami, i tama je ne obuze". Kal zrači, svetli logosnom svetlošću: kao pri stvaranju čoveka, tako i sada pri iscelenju sleporođenog. A i jedno i drugo za svedočanstvo njima: da Logos svetli iz kala i kroz kal, a kamoli iz bogolike duše. Samo poslušnost Logosu - leči od slepila duhovnog, na prvnom mestu. Onda čovek i u kalu vidi logosnu oilu; i grumen kala zrači božanskom svetlošću. I oseća, i vidi, kako iz celkoupnog kosmičkog kala struji i zrači logosni smisao tvari. To je osetno sleporođeii, i poslušnošću drema Gospodu Hristu iscelio se: "Otide, i umi se, i dođe gledajući". On se nije čudio, niti pitao Spasa: šta to radiš? Zar kalom mažeš oči moje? Kuda me šalješ? Nego poslušno čini ove što mu On ,kaže. Da, to je uslov pri ovakom čudu, kao pri prvom u Kani Galilejskoj: "što vam god reče učinite".
