Pošto se polusloženica sastoji od dve reči spojene crticom (spojnicom), pretpostavljam da "polusloženičko pisanje" znači upotrebi crtica.

Imeničkim se polusloženicama nazivaju veze dviju imenica u kojoj prva određuje drugu i ne mijenja se (obično obje čuvaju svoj naglasak). Između njezinih dijelova pišemo spojnicu (vidi pitanje br. 3). Pošto se polusloženica sastoji od dve reči spojene crticom (spojnicom), pretpostavljam da "polusloženičko pisanje" znači upotrebi crtica.
