Interesujeme kako biste preveli naziv zvanja nakon zavrsenog Medicinskog fakulteta, klijent nije doktor medicinskih nauka, vec je zavrsio samo Medicinski fakultet. Ne bih da usmeravam svojim resenjem vec da vidim vasa resenja. Unapred hvala.

Ok, onda da priložim i ovo kao odgovor :) Slažem se da je moj sudski tumač našao elegantno rešenje. Medical doctor ili u prevodu - lekar :))
Ali da ne bude zabune, ja sam podržala i Doctor of Medicine, jer je to zvanje koje stičete nakon završetka medicinskog fakulteta u Sjedinjenim Državama i Kanadi (možda je ovo zgodan link: http://healthcareers.about.com/od/physiciancareers/ht/Medica... ). U Komonveltu bi za Doctor of Medicine pomislili da ima doktorat, jer kod njih titula glasi Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (da ne pominjem haos vezano za skraćenicu zvanja, u svakom engleskom selu važi druga skraćenica: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bachelor_of_Medicine_and_Surger... ). Na linku koji sam navela kod odgovora b79 vidi se da se Medicinski fakultet u Beogradu opredelio za američku varijantu.
U svakom slučaju ne lekar opšte prakse, to je nešto drugo. Na našim diplomama stoji: doktor medicine. Nakon studija, pa staža, pa položenog državnog ispita, dotični doktor medicine može da se zaposli kao lekar opšte prakse. (A može posle i da se opredeli za opštu medicinu kao jednu od specijalizacija - confusing, innit? :))

  -> Uh, hvala, Daniela, ali nešto se ne bih usudila :)) Ja nisam sudski tumač i ne znam pravila tog zanata, pa nisam sigurna da li prevodioci treba da traže ekvivalente za svaku zemlju ili da "samo" prevode. Znam da se i oni koji se time bave ne slažu uvek...
