Cvetovi Damaske ruže su poznati po finom mirisu, a danas se koristi u komercijalne svrhe za dobijanje ružinog ulja, te u parfimerijskoj industriji. Latice Damaske ruže su jestive, a u našoj džemari u sastavu plantaže pravi se čuveno slatko od ovih ruža.
