These answers are a pretty direct translation and simple ones at that, but this is what I grew up using and hearing in the American South.

I would say switch (over) to (переключить) is more often used when someone is watching two programs on separate channels. Over is optional. Change (to), on the other hand, would be to move from one channel completely to find something more interesting and stay on the new channel.

Turn on (включить) needs no explanation, I think. Sometimes, in casual speech, we place the preposition at the end. For example:

Ma, turn on channel five!
Ma, turn channel five on!

You can use it in informal dialogues, just know that most grammar references will tell you that this is a no-no.
