Russian term or phrase: донат
Добрый день! Нужна помощь РПГ-экспертов! Имеется в виду донат как игрок - пренебрежительное обозначение игрока, который предпочитает за все платить, только бы самому не напрягаться. Donator - это не совсем то, пренебрежительного оттенка не несет, так?

Заранее большое спасибо!

donater

Explanation:
Donater от слова donate - донат. Это игрок, который вкладывает деньги в игру, чтобы получить дополнительные преимущества. Конечно это не самые умные люди, но в слове донат или донатер по отношению к игру подразумевается лишь то, что он вкладывает деньги в игру и ничего более. Почитайте тут:

disagree  Mikhail Kropotov: the word you mean is spelled donatOr, but it's not used in gaming slang.

disagree  Mark Berelekhis: To Natalia: sorry, but no. The "donator" from the linked thread has nothing to do with this phenomenon. It's about players who literally donate stuff.

disagree  Oleg Lozinskiy: If 'a player spends too much real money to dominate a game', (s)he may become a donut as per above definition.|Please, explain what do you mean by 'reporting'. It's JUST a 'purely linguistic dispute' re: 'meaning of words' amongst 'peers'.

agree  Mark Berelekhis: In the heyday of subscription-based MMOs (when I was an active gamer), this just wasn't a thing, so no term immediately comes to mind. But the venturebeat article describes the phenomenon perfectly.
