In fact, an elevated water table at the time of excavation prevented the project from reaching the base of culture-bearing deposits -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 mins (2007-01-08 19:45:04 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I'll take back shingle beds - gravel and cobbles seem to be more appropriate here http://links.jstor.org/sici?sici=0002-7316(198004)45:2<297:E...
