Romanian term or phrase: I-am ciuruit!
I can't make sense of a quote from Basescu: "E un fleac, i-am ciuruit!"

He made the remark during the second round of the 2009 presidential elections:

(it was a piece of cake) I crushed them
Explanation:
It comes from a famous quote from a Romanian movie in which the main character dies saying "e un fleac, m-au ciuruit" - which would mean - it's nothing, they put a lot of bullets in me" - Basescu transformed it after he won the elections and said - it's nothing, I crushed them/I put a lot of bullets in them"

neutral  Lara Barnett: This is using a metaphor for another metaphor, which obscures the idea slightly.
