Art.8. Optional disciplines are disciplines pertaining both to the field of specialization and to other complementary fields.
Apart from these, University students can choose to attend other elective disciplines from the faculty offer, which shall be considered then as optional disciplines. The results obtained in the framework of these disciplines shall be included in the student registry and in the transcript of records.
University students can also attend, as optional disciplines, courses offered by other faculties or specializations, provided they have the acceptance of the respective course tutors and in observance of al pre-requisites. On the basis of the student studies contracts, the faculty in which a student is enrolled shall send to the other faculties a written document featuring the list of disciplines and the number of students seeking enrollment for those optional disciplines, requesting their approval. Enrollment can be denied when it is likely to disrupt the study groups already constituted in the respective faculty or specialization. The results obtained in these disciplines shall be recorded in a separate registry and communicated, in a written form, to the faculty where the respective student is enrolled, to be included in the student registry and in the transcript of records (in the "Other studied disciplines" box).

Student Registry

Student Registry is the official repository for all records relating to a student's study and stay at the University. It maintains a variety of documents concerning each student, e.g. admission, academic performance, financial aid or obligations, accommodation, social or organisational involvement, health, discipline or conduct governance, etc. Apart from administrative purposes these records can be used for student development or the improvement of existing programmes and services.
