Eigentlich hat Anke recht.
"lavrar" heißt soviel wie pflügen.
In diesem Kontext schätze ich, dass das Gelände mit dem Caterpillar vorbereitet und eingeebnet wird.

Mit Acker kann auch ein gepflügter Randstreifen gemeint sein. Auf alle Fälle wurde der Boden bearbeitet und nicht als Brachland/Wildaufwuchs belassen.

Asker: Da habe ich mich missverständlich ausgedrückt. Ich wollte nur erläutern, wen der Windschutzstreifen schützen soll. Aber einen Acker gibt da nicht. Vielleicht sollte ich hier etwas freier mit Boden übersetzen?
