Inexistência ....em profusão - Nichtvorhandensein...im Überfluss, das macht für mich irgendwie keinen Sinn....

na minha opinião, trata-se de uma deficiente formulação em português. O que certamente se pretende significar é que não se regista uma profusão de hifas no meio de cultura.
