5 +1 | interventional cardiology department |

interventional cardiology department Explanation: NOT "hemodynamics", please! :) In English, "hemodynamics" refers solely to blood flow around the body and the measurement thereof—this is a notorious false friend in medical translation. You could even go with "catheterization laboratory" or "catheterization suite", but bear in mind that a "setor de hemodinâmica" in a large hospital will often have several suites/labs. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 21 mins (2016-08-16 20:06:59 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- This has been addressed very well before: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/portuguese_to_english/medical_gene... http://www.proz.com/kudoz/portuguese_to_english/medical_gene... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 28 mins (2016-08-16 20:14:22 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- And from the Libro rojo, but it applies equally well to the PT-EN pair: cardiac catheterization cardiac catheterization (cardiac cath). It's been 7 years, I think you get a free pass ;-) (Oi Luiza!) |
