Portuguese term or phrase:Difference between \"caption\" and \"legend\"
MS Lang Portal seems to indicate that those fields with captions where colors or patterns specify a certain field in graphs are "legends".
Indeed Powerpoint and Excel seems to use "Legend" for this concept, but maybe because Portuguese uses "Legenda" for "caption", "legend" and even "subtitle" (in the field of AV), I'm more inclined to using "caption".
They seem to be very close synonyms, does anyone else have this problem or can anyone offer a good distinction between the two?
