"offen" to tylko "niezapłacony, do zapłaty" i nie oddaje dawno minionego terminu zapłaty, bo o tym, że Forderung jest "offen" można mówić nawet kiedy nie jest jeszcze "fällig" :)
"überfällig" (w Mahnwesen często "längst überfällig") ma zdecydowanie mocniejszą wymowę, jest stosowane w stosunku do wierzytelności, faktur itp., których termin płatności dawno minął
