Zdecydowanie mniej popularne określenie od "domu mediowego" (rzeczywiście dość ordynarna kalka), ale spotykane w nazwach własnych polskich firm typu "media house". Przemawia za nim także analogia do "agencji ubezpieczeniowej", która w pozostaje w takim samym stosunku do ubezpieczycieli i ubezpieczanych, jak "agencja medialna" do mediów i reklamodawców.
