bastarization
Explanation:

BASTARDIZATION of course
Just like ' zbydlecenie it is rarely used synonym for corruption or lowering of the standards.

Asker: I think this sounds too extreme for corporate administration. From the context, it would appear more to do with "herd mentality", or blindly following procedures, rather than animal-like behaviour. Or have I got the wrong idea?

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks for your comment - I wouldn't use "bastardisation", but "degradation" (which was in the link you gave) looks like a suitable synonym. "Brutalisation" and "barbarisation" smack too much of physical violence, and I doubt that any office would be that bad

Mark, FYI, according to one of the dictionaries of Polish language:

zbydlęcić dk VIa, ~cę, ~cisz, ~ęć, ~cił, ~cony - zbydlęcać ndk I, ~am, ~asz, ~ają, ~aj, ~ał, ~any,
posp. **** pozbawić cech ludzkich, upodobnić do bydlęcia **** [=deprive of human traits, become similar to a beast]
Gorzałka całkiem go zbydlęciła [booze turned him into a swine / beast]

HTH

no herd mentality or following of procedures implied in Polish, but acting like a swine, beast, in boorish manner, and treating people with disrespect

disagree  Polangmar: To jest zezwierzęcenie, bestialstwo lub sodomia - w dziale administracji nieprawdopodobne (szczególnie to ostatnie;)).
