Norwegian term or phrase: men det gaar nu for det samme at sende dem
Once again, on the back of a list of names/dates, written in Norway in the late 19th or early 20th century: "Disse Datumer fik vi en dag ifra Prestefruen det er slet ingen græie paa dem men det gaar nu for det samme at sende dem.

Can "men det gaar nu for det samme at sende dem" be loosely translated something like "but it works to send them this way"?

English translation:but I can just as well send them
Explanation:
Meaning she can send them, even if they are disorganised (and leave the interpretation to the receipient of the letter, maybe).

'det gaar nu for the samme' could be interpreted as 'it doesn't cost anything' or similar.
