firm knot; gordion know [perhaps] Explanation: ref: kamus perwira - as a metaphor, the closest english one i can think of is "gordian knot" - gordian knot refers to an intractable problem, one that is difficult or almost impossible to handle/solve. - according to legend, alexander the great solved it by making a bold stroke, i.e. by just cutting it and not bothering with the tedious process of unravelling it. |
