disagree  Gintautas Kaminskas: No native English speaker would ever say "a (performative) speech act verb". It's pidgin English. As for Anna Wierzbicka and her book – she emigrated from Poland at age 32. Hardly a native English speaker. She made up that phrase just for her book.
