amazing to tell/in the telling

Explanation:
it really depends on the context.......

one could also render it as

"wonderful to tell", yet I am of the opinion that "mirabilis" means more "amazing" than "wonderful"

One should not, as far as he/she can, translate it, 'cause translating such phrases often means depriving them of their true essence......

The ablative form is used to express \"point of view from which\" that is easier to show than to describe. It is made by dropping the -m from the accusative form. An example is the familiar phrase mirabile dictu meaning \"amazing/wonderful in the telling\" that uses the adjective \"mirabile\", and then dictu expresses \"from the point of view of saying, telling.\" This adjective-supine combination is easy to recognize, and the -u ending is distinctive.

p.s.: other possible translations are: extraordinary, unusual, incredible........
