English translation:get off at the Kyobashi bus-stop, and it's right nearby
Explanation:
---"下車" means to get off (the train, bus) or “alight” (off the train, bus). But using "alight" sounds rather old-fashioned and/or formal.

--- すぐ It's right nearby / It's close by / It's right around the corner. (It's an expression used often when giving directions that pertain to すぐ ) [Source: Shogakukan Dictionary]

Fushimi-Horikawa Take the public bus, get off at the Kyobashi bus-stop and it's right nearby. (or: it's right close by)

(or take the city bus / take the bus)

right across from the [Kyobashi] bus stop / right next to the [Kyobashi] bus stop

Explanation:
「伏見濠川市バスの京橋というバス停で降りてすぐそこにある」という意味を指しています。

Your question is from this site, right? The first part (伏見濠川) should be separated from the second part, so that the meaning of the sentence is 「市バスに乗車して、京橋というバス停で下車すれば、すぐそこに伏見濠川がある」

neutral  Yumico Tanaka (X): However, the translator has to decide which to choose. Next or Across? We are supposed to give only one answer. The Japanese original doesn't say which, so I see why Joyce translated the other way. I might translate "right there."

-> Yes, good point! When I provided the options, I hadn't yet found the website, but I figured Li could do some research on the location to figure out which one was appropriate. Given what we now know, I agree that "right there" is a great choice. Thanks! ^^

disagree  Raitei: It is not next to the bus stop nor is it "right nearby." You will realize this after seeing the actual bus stop on Google Earth.

-> As I said, I hadn't yet found the site when I answered. When I did find it, I didn't check GE b/c that's the translator's job (as I agree it is), not mine (unless I'm feeling charitable). KudoZ is about term help, & askers must use its output accordingly.

neutral  Raitei: 「市バス」 in this context is pointing to a specific route (19号系統). I believe it is necessary to mention the destinations of the various buses that stop at Kyobashi. Lord knows that tourists need all the help they can get in Japan.

Explanation:
Directions: Board a Kyoto City Bus bound for Yokooji Shako-mae, Chushojima, or Kyoto Station and get off at Kyobashi bus stop. Fushimi Horikawa Creek is a short walk from the bus stop.

There are many meanings that 「下車すぐ」 can have in English. In order to ensure quality translations, a "macro" approach is necessary. Japanese translation in more about filling in the blanks than trying to hammer out meanings from a few words put together.
