Tech/Engineering - Telecom(munications) / GPS アンテナ切断検出
Japanese term or phrase: GPS アンテナ切断
I have come across 2 terms 通信モジュールアンテナ切断検出 and GPS アンテナ切断検出. Can this be translated as Detecting GPS antenna connection though 切断 means disconnect. The further context is 正常/オープン/ショートを検出. I am assuming this as a connection status.

GPS connection failure

Explanation:
Since アンテナ is used for connection, GPS アンテナ切断 is "GPS connection failure" and アンテナ切断検出 is "detecting GPS connection failure".

GPS antenna tampering detection

Explanation:
Given the context, I'd say this is the detection of the status of the cable connecting the antenna to the GPS module, not the radio connection status
this is supportied by 正常/オープン/ショートを検出 == detection of normal, open circuit, close circuit (obviously, in the connecting cable from the electronic GPS module circuitry to the antenna).
I give you a ref., you can get more googling for "gps antenna tampering detection"

neutral  Port City: But this sounds like it only detects intentional disconnection by unauthorised people. Maybe you replace "tampering" with "disconnection"?

-> it detetcts both -my point is that is related to the local link between antenna and module, not the remote link to the GPS network
