Thank you! I was familiar with 夜露 and 朝露. Perhaps I will start using 路露 every now and then around people of different ages and see how many understand me. It can be like a secret survey ;) Again, thanks for all of the info!

朝露（あさつゆ）、夜露（よつゆ）と同じです。

慣用句でもなんでもなく、“露”が使える場面なら同様に使えると思います。

○露に濡れる、○露に触れる、○露を被る、○露にあたる、○露にさらされる等々。

○の中に、朝でも夜でも路でも、好きな字を入れてください。 ただし、昼露という言葉は（たぶん）ないと思います。

露を“路”という字で限定しただけのものですが、“路”は、道路そのものというよりも、戸外という意味で使われて（私は使って）います。

Thank you for the response. I did come across the two links that you posted, actually. I hope you don't think I didn't believe you learned the word - I was simply trying to find out more about it. Perhaps it is some sort of idiomatic usage, 路露に濡れた, since it seems that all of the valid occurrences have been in this form. It's quite interesting. By the way, how do you read this word?

路露という言葉は、（私にとっては）特に詩的なものではなく、日常の言葉でした。 例えば、自転車を日中外に出しておいて、雨が降ったわけでもないのに自転車が濡れていたら、「路露に濡れた」という言い方をしていました。

しかし、OCRが“結露”を読み間違えたという可能性は否定しませんし、あなたが何を信じるかは、あなたの自由です。

でも、私を含めて数人は、路露という言葉を使っていることは確かなようです。 天然記念物ものかもしれませんが。

This must be a very poetic manual ;)

Thank you for the links. In the first, I found "小原女の歸り路露になりにけり", but isn't this 歸り路 + 露? I found a similar occurrence with "一遍と歩む熊野路露葎", but this is "熊野路" + kigo "露葎". I also found "草深き当尾路露の石仏", but I think this is "当尾路" + "露の石仏".

The blog link does seem to be "路露". Additionally, I found "俺は路露に濡れて風邪引くのだけは避けたいからな" which seems to be in the same form as the blog. Interesting, but I wish I could find a more reliable source since I can't find it in any dictionaries.

It would be strange for such an uncommon word to appear in a manual, though, so I'm still inclined to think that perhaps it is an OCR error like cinefil-san suggested.

I learned this word. I don't remember anymore from where or whom I learned it.

Actually I was very surprised it is not in the 広辞苑。 I guess we are not using this word anymore. Such a shame, it is a beuatiful word.

Oikawa-san, I wonder if you could share where you found the word? I have searched all of my dictionaries, including 日本国語大辞典精選版 (300,000 entries) and have had no luck. Online I have only found people/place names, aside from one toilet seat ad (防路露). Like cinefil-san, I imagined that it was a mistake, but I'd love to learn a new word! Thanks!

のように見えるので、たぶん携帯機器の使用上注意だと思われます。 要するに外に放置して直射日光にさらされたり、あるいは濡れたり埃をかぶったりする場所では使うな、ということを言いたいんだと思います。

とも思ったのですが、しかし、“路露”という言葉は確かにあります。（広辞苑には載ってませんが）

外にあるものが、霧などで少し濡れることを、路露をかぶるとか、路露に濡れると言いますので、そういう書き方をする人もいる可能性はあると思うのですが。
