agree  takaaki miyasaka: *補足ですが、fermentation brothとは、(私のかつての研究分野であった)抗生物質を産生する放線菌の培養目的で使用される液体培地(ブロス)ですが、タンパク質合成に必須な20種類のアミノ酸のうち場合に応じて特に補給が必要なものを、本文の"L-lysine hydrochloride"のように加えます。そのため微生物実験の英語文献では、目的と用途を考慮して"containing"の替わりに、"supplemented with"という表現も、本文の文脈からよく用いられます。
