Japanese term or phrase: 挫傷 vs 挫創
There are many terms in Japanese that appear to be covered by the umbrella term 'contusion' in English. How would you specifically differentiate the two terms above? I have translated the first as 'bruise' and the latter as 'contusion', but would 'abrasion' also be suitable here? ...Any ideas? Thanks

Contusion vs Contusion wound

Explanation:
挫創 typically involves bleeding whereas with 挫傷 the skin is not broken.

Contusion is the medical term for bruise, but abrasion is a different type of injury I think. How about 挫傷 - contusion and 挫創 - contusion wound.
