Japanese term or phrase: ペプチドの性質で見いだされている
Hello again, another question from the same paper. I think I may be missing something obvious here, but the wording escapes me.

特に、電荷を持ったアミノ酸同士の相互作用による安定化や反発による不安定化は多くのペプチドの性質で見いだされている。

Does this just mean that there are stabilizing and destabilizing effects resultant from interactions of the charged amino acids involved?

What is the connection with the properties of the peptides?

Thanks very much.

English translation:It has been found in many peptides ...
Explanation:
"It has been found in many peptides for their characteristics that stabilization or destabilization effect due to an interaction or repulsion between the amino acids with electric charges."

One peptide contains two or more amino acids.

I think that 性質="nature", "property" would be possible in this case, and "characteristic" would not be appropriate. The original Japanese sentence of interest is somewhat unnatural or improper to me, though... So, it might confuse you, especially by the particle "(ペプチドの性質)で".

Stabilty is one of the electrostatic properties of peptides.

We use computational methods based on the solution of the Poisson-Boltzmann equation to explore the electrostatic properties of peptides, proteins, and protein complexes, such as ionization states, desolvation, Coulombic interactions, proton sharing and transfer, conformational transitions, stability, and association...
