Basically this is talking about driving behavior and passing and braking, etc.
I'm sorry but I can't post actual context.

Questions:
1. I'm guessing this is 車速に乗る?
2. What does this mean? It doesn't really make sense in the sentence, or at least I don't understand it.
There are other parts that say 車速が出るところ・車速が出ないところ、which makes sense, but I don't understand what 車速に乗る is supposed to mean, and couldn't find any explanations online. If there are multiple possibilities of what it could mean, please post them.
