Automotive / Cars & Trucks / List of parts
Japanese term or phrase: 品番
品番 appears in a table of automotive parts such as horns, filters, and bulbs. Although it usually means "part number", the 品番 column contains not only "0 320 226 004", "1987302411", etc., which are numeric, but also "BH-RH", "PA-HRMXW", etc., which are all alphabet, as well as combinations of both like "BH-AFC2".
I'm looking for words that cover all these cases. Part ID, perhaps?
I'd really appreciate it if you could help me.
Thank you very much in advance.

agree  Paul Rigby: Part numbers in English are often alphanumeric like this. I would just translate it as "part number".

Product Code/Part Code

Explanation:
As you say, 'part number' would work for numerical codes, but by simply changing that to 'part code' or 'product code' would have the desired effect when the codes include alpha characters.
