Thanks for your time and replies. Since the term seems to refer to a group of products, from pesticides to fertilizers and so on, I decided to use just "chemicals" for it, and "toxic chemicals" in the sentence.

Yes, Narcis; in the end what I need is the Spanish term, but I've never gotten any answers when asking in the Japanese-Spanish pair, that's why I always come here.
Now, for those asking for more context, I'm afraid I don't have any more context directly related to this term. The sentence is from a paper about the problems found in a protected area (a national park). One of those problems is the pollution of rivers by these chemicals, used by farmers nearby. The paper then goes on to talk about deforestation caused by the burning of forests, illegal cutting of trees and so on. Hope this helps a little.

If you are looking it for a Spanish translation I would say "tratamientos químicos tóxicos". But with one or two more context lines I think it would be more clear.
