Japanese to English translations [PRO]
Advertising / Public Relations
Japanese term or phrase: キーワードに
「健康」をキーワードに幅広く取り組んでいます。
I want to translate the last half as "we are engaged in a wide range of activities," but I can't think of a way to translate "キーワードに" into natural English. "With 'health' as a keyword" sounds weird. "Keeping health in mind" doesn't sound right to me.

We engage in a broad mix of health care focused activiites...
Explanation:
I feel a more 'copywriters-inspired' approach should be used for this particular question, as this was posted under the 'Advertising / Public Relations' subject field. Correct me if I am wrong, but in this case isn't the client looking for more of a 'catch phrase' type translation, then a direct translation.

Something along the lines of:

"We engage in a broad mix of health care focused activities"

Just noticed a typo in the title... "Activiites" should obviously be "Activities"...

I agree about the copywriter approach for advertisements. It was hard to decide between your answer and "with an emphasis on health," but your sentence was more concise.

Explanation:
The whole sentence goes "we are engaged in a wide range of health-related activities", though this might be a little too straight forward.

Explanation:
Lars, would it be alright for you to reverse your sentence and start with "We are engaged in a wide range of activities....?"

That way, you can be open to many more possibilities including using the word "keyword" as in:

We are engaged in a wide range of activities with "health" as the keyword.

Explanation:
We engage in a wide range of efforts, focusing on “healthcare”.
Alternatively, this phrase can be replaced with “We engage in a wide range of activities especially tailored to “healthcare”.

health as "buzzword"

Explanation:
When "keyword" is used as "Japanglish", it usually means "buzzword" or "catch-phraze".
Yes when you use "keyword" in its straight phasevalue, sure it makes awkward English.

Before internet became so prevelent, their preferred expression was "theme", e.g. "kenkou wo theme ni".

Woops, typo -- not "phasevalue". "Face value"

A wide range of activities focusing on your health.

Explanation:
"A wide range of activities focusing on your health."

If this is advertising material, suggestion is a catchy phrase, such as suggested.
