...sembra che abbia senso nell'ambito dell'idraulica marittima e del calcolo strutturale, anche attraverso software, relativo: vedi links. Credo sia un'onda calcolata in base a certi dati elaborati in un determinato progetto. Quindi "di progetto" perché frutto di un calcolo progettuale.

In questo documento http://www.gueringenieria.com/pdfs/bloque_ataman.pdf parlano di "ola de proyecto". La ditta si occupa di ingegneria civile in particolare in area marittima. Potrebbe anche essere "ola de diseño"; ci sono vari riferimenti legati all'idraulica marittima.
