Italian term or phrase: origine remota
[questo bicchiere] "È pensato per vini ancora abbastanza giovani che abbiano subito affinamento in acciaio, bottiglia o legno, ma la loro origine non è remota."

Is "orgine remota" a technical term in wine lingo? If it just means remote/faraway, do you think it's meant in terms of time or in terms of space?

Thanks for your help :)

distant
Explanation:
I might use this term since the meaning is a bit ambivalent in Italian and I could maintain that uncertainty.
"... but their origins are not distant..."

remote

Explanation:
It says the glass is appropriate for young wines so I would say (not) remote, meaning (not) "distant in time".
